A Day in the Life of... a mom to be.

Yes you read that right! Evan and I are expecting a baby in October... that's 3.5 short months from now!

We found out on Valentine's day that we would be welcoming a bundle of joy in 8 months! A BABY!! We had a few roads we could have taken... empty nesters by the time I was 34... world travelers... or brand new parents... the age difference between our kids is crazy anyway, and to add another kid to the mix appears to be rather silly... especially in light of the empty-nester idea. But a baby is in our future, and we couldn't be happier!

So we may not be setting off on some world adventure, but our world is for sure chaning... and our nest may not be empty, but will for sure have a full life! Our little boy will be loved more than he can ever know, and we will do everything we can to teach him all our wisdom! Here's to hoping he'll listen.

The adventure we are in is one worth undertaking and I wouldn't change it for the world!

Thankfully, we only have a few more months to wait to meet him, and in that time, we have a lot to do!

Thanks for reading this not so inspirational blog... I hope it grows into it's full potential! Talk to you soon!!!

~Mommy to be

Well... this appears to be a dud!

Here I was thinking I'd have all this time to share my oh so important thoughts... and then after the first (somewhat boring) post, I stop blogging... How is that for sharing a day in the life of...

My apologies, and here's to a new attempt at creating a truly inspirational blog!

And on that note... let's get this blog going!

Me

This blog is something of a therapy... I am currently home alone (if you don't count the dogs) and while it is nice to relax and I enjoy the time at home, I am left alone with my thoughts until another human comes home and then life is just busy... So I'm starting a blog, to share my thoughts... in hopes of letting my poor husband sleep at night!

I hope you enjoy reading this blog as much as I will enjoy writing it.

Today the thoughts I want to share involve my lovely dog Sherman, and his struggle with adapting to Nancy's new pup, Simon (name will possibly change). She got him yesterday and
Sherman is not having it... he was quite happy with life as he knew it... being the king of his castle, not having to share the spot light with anyone... especially a puppy that is already bigger than him. Sherman is the most lovable dachshund I know and very well behaved... so this is a new thing for me to see him shun a poor puppy that just wants to flop around and play with him... Evan assures me that given enough time the boys will be friends... I just hope that time doesn't take too long...

Here are some pictures of the pooches...

This is Sherman

And this is Simon (again, his name may change)...
